It's been awhile hasn't it. Anyone miss me? Probably not I was an annoying DA user.  Yeah,  after deleting damn near everything I had on this site,  I've decided to come back to actually becoming an active member of the deviantart community.

So if anyone cares, I'm back!

For those of you who aren't familiar with  the band. big black is a noise rock/ industrial band from Chicago, IL that was active from 1982-87 and consisted of the legendary Steve albini on lead or "Smash" guitar and vocals, Dave Riley on rhythm guitar, Santiago Durango on bass, and a drum machine known as Roland. Together they released 4 EPs, 2 albums, 2 live albums, an a single. Songs about fucking is their second and final studio album and was released after a breakup caused by a desire to quit while they were ahead and santiago's decision to become a lawyer.

Now the first thing about the album is the cover, not only is the title itself controversial, but the way the cover and the artwork and liner notes are made seem to be designed to disgust or upset the buyer, with the cd version taunting the listeners with "the future belongs to analog loyalists fuck digital", the not complete pornographic but suggestive drawings on the front and back covers, the colo scheme being hot pink text on lime greeen being visually distracting, and various offensive sayings in the liner note make this album piss people off..... and THAT is genius

Moving onto the actual music, this album takes most of the lyrical genius and musical awesomeness from atomizer, the bands first album, and makes it EXTREMELY fast...Steve albini's unique Smash playing style and Cynical, socially awkward vocals are present, with dave riley's accompaniment completeng the sound, and santago beating the shit out of his bass make this album, and the fact that this album rips through 13 (14 on cd) songs in 30 minutes further amplifies the cover....loud, fast, and in your face.

Whether you lime nose rock, industrial, punk, indie, this album is for everyone....unless yu are tipper gore and cant take an offensive album title or song lyric. this album is easy to find and i definitely would recommend it

its been over 6 months since ive done anything proactive here because my creativity has died art-wise. ive come to admit that i cannot draw as i have a genetic disorder cclled elhers-danlos syndrome which causes my joints to hyperextend and my art suffers be cause of this. HOWEVER. ive decided ill move on to literature and music reviews. so if you enjoyed my gumball art. its over unless im fanficing.
